Privacy Policy
Last updated Oct 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit tossitright.com ("Toss It Right," "we," "us"), how it is used, and the choices you have. Effective date: October 29, 2026.
Information we collect
- You don't need an account. You can read every guide without signing up, and we don't ask for your name, address or payment details.
- Information you send us. If you email or text us, we receive whatever you include (for example your email address, phone number and message). We use it only to reply to you, fix a guide, or discuss a partnership, and we don't sell it.
- Basic server and security logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which guides are useful. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first: it does not use cookies or local storage, and it does not fingerprint or track individual visitors across sites. We see only aggregate numbers such as page views, referring sites, country and device type. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We use, or may use, Google AdSense to show ads that help keep the guides free.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices or www.youronlinechoices.com.
- If other third-party vendors or ad networks serve ads on this site, they may also use cookies. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and read more at Google's advertising policies.
Where the law requires it (for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland), Google may show a consent message before personalized ads or cookies are used.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Toss It Right itself does not set cookies for tracking. Third parties, such as Google for advertising, may set cookies as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, the guides still work, though ads may be less relevant.
Partner and outbound links
Guides link to official city, county, facility, charity and business websites. Some guides may include a booking box for a hauling partner. If a partner pays us a referral fee, we disclose it on the page where it appears (see About & Methodology). Other websites have their own privacy policies, and we're not responsible for their practices.
Children's privacy
This site is meant for a general adult audience. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you about, or delete, any information you sent us by email or text. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have extra rights over your personal information. Contact us and we'll respond.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
